In the digital age, your online privacy is a serious issue. Canada's privacy laws have not kept pace with rapid advancements in technology.

Fact:   Data breaches affected the personal information of millions, yet most go unreported

Fact:   Some major Canadian sites disclosed our personal data to third parties without consent

Fact:   Cyber fraud is a growing problem, costing Canadians $76 million in 2012 alone

It is time this issue is addressed, and my colleague Charmaine Borg has introduced Bill C-475 to bring Canada's privacy laws into the digital age.
