Call for Nominations of WWII Veterans, Legion of Honour Medal

Do you know a World War II veteran who served in Europe helping to liberate France and other allied nations?

Their courageous service continues to be remembered and the French government is honouring Canadian WWII veterans with the highest honour they can bestow, the Legion of Honour medal.

It has been my privilege to nominate and present these medals to two deserving London veterans, Michael Sydorko and Pete Schussler.

If you know a veteran who should be nominated for this award, please email my office at: irene.mathyssen@parl.gc.ca  with the veteran's name and contact information (address, telephone and/or email).

We will share the information with Delores Hatch, the volunteer organizer working to honour our veterans.
