This is a conversation that applies to everyone - not just those we view as disabled - be it someone who has a physical, developmental, health or learning disability. Did you know there are so many MORE classifications for disabilities then these four categories? Ask yourself:
- When I/we plan a group event or community gathering, how inclusive am I/are we?
- What kinds of accommodations do I/we make available to EVERYONE for an event?
- Do persons with disabilities have access to society on an equal basis with others - like transportation, employment education, social and political participation?
- Is the right to participate in public life essential for persons with disabilities - to create stable democracies, active citizenship and reduce inequalities in society?
